Martha Fitzpatrick

MARTHA DEAN POSEY FITZPATRICK, 84, of Piedmont, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Jacksonville Health and Rehab.  She was a lifetime resident of Calhoun County, member of Tredagar Chapel Congregational Holiness Church.  She worked with GE until 1963.  She was active in the schools and was the PTO President at Roy Webb and the 1st PTO President at Pleasant Valley. She was preceded in death by her parents:  Blanche Owens and Alton Posey; siblings: Jack Posey, John D. Posey, Fred M. “Ted” Posey; and niece: Jerri Posey.

She is survived by her husband, Leroy Fitzpatrick; daughter: Sheila (Curtis) Lawrence; son: Rev. Jonathan (Kristie) Fitzpatrick; grandchildren: Jeff (Lacey) Washburn, Deanna Washburn, Jordan Fitzpatrick (fiancé, Jordan Carter), and Joshlyn Fitzpatrick (fiancé, Hunter Vaughan); great grandson: Tyler Washburn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 2:00 PM from Dansby Heritage Chapel with visitation from 1-2 PM.  Burial will be in Piedmont Memory Garden.
