JAMES WAYNE HARBIN
On Sunday, January 03, 2021, James Wayne Harbin, loving father, grandfather and brother, passed away at age 75.
James was born a twin on February 04, 1945 in Anniston, Alabama to Clifford Lamar Harbin and Margaret Nell Williamson Harbin. James Graduated Spring Garden High School and entered the Air Force. James is the father to four children, Rhonda, Mike, Robin, and Michelle.
James had a love for family and Alabama Football that is unmatched by anyone. James spent years working and volunteering in the communities where he lived and spend all of his time making sure things were clean and beautiful. His pride and joy was Storm’s Drive In and the Country Kitchen in Lampasas. He loved to play checkers. He would sit quietly and let you steal all of his checkers except for one, then he would wipe your board clean. His smile and laughter were contagious. He had a huge heart and would help anyone that needed it.
James was a believer and he loved the Lord.
James was preceded in death by his father Clifford and mother Margaret (Nellie), a brother Paul Harbin, 4 sisters, Betty Harbin, Anne York, Sammie Turner and his twin, Janice Harbin. James is survived by his four children, Rhonda Herring of Hamilton Texas, Mike Harbin and wife Heather of Port Townsend Washington, Robin Donahoo and husband Brent of Hamilton, Texas and Michelle Lopez Lamb and husband David Lamb of Hamilton, Texas; 19 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; sister: Patsy Pollard of Piedmont; and three brothers: Lamar Harbin of Choccolocco, Donnie Harbin of Oxford, and Douglas Harbin of Woodstock, GA.
A CHAPEL service will be held Friday, January 8, 2021 at 1:00 PM from Dansby Heritage Chapel with Gary McCurdy officiating. . Burial will follow in Nances Creek Cemetery.
