Edna Humphrey

EDNA FAYE HUMPREY, 90, of Piedmont, passed away on Friday, October 8th, 2021 with her family by her side.  Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 12th, 2021 at Dansby Heritage Chapel.  Burial will follow afterwards at Piedmont Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Austin Dunn, Christopher McCartney, Ryon Dunn, Antonio Hernandez, Jimmy McCluskey and Chester Baker.

Faye was preceded in death by her loving husband Ardis Norman Humphrey; her son Kenneth Armond Humphrey; her sisters Eunice Humphrey and Kathleen Barkley and her brother Emory Moon.

Faye was born in Atlanta, GA but she moved to Alabama in 1945, when she was 19 years old.  She lived in Piedmont with her Uncle Will and worked as a waitress.  She married her soulmate Ardis in 1951 and affectionately called him Art.  They had 2 wonderful sons Kenneth and Dean.

She loved animals and always could be found with animals around with her.  She was a wonderful person to be around, she was good to everyone that she met.

Faye is survived by her devoted son Dean Humphrey; her granddaughter Sherri Dunn (Kevin); her grandsons Gary Humphrey, Kenny Humphrey (Cynthia) and Michael Humphrey; 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until the start of the service on Tuesday.
