Wayne "Scooter" Livingston

WAYNE “Scooter” LIVINGSTON, 75, of Piedmont, AL passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023 at his residence. Born in Spring Garden to M.L. and Kathryn Hilburn Livingston, he was the only son with three sisters. His parents preceded him in death along with his wife: June Coogler Livingston; two sisters: Eddie Salim and Shirley Blackwelder; and one son: Matt Livingston.

He was employed by the SCT cotton mill until it closed, then went to work with Calhoun County. He served in the National Guard for 11 years, 11 months and 07 days. He attended the House of Prayer and was the females softball coach from 1970-1990. He was a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, and supportive brother.

He is survived by his son: Patrick (Kerrie) Livingston; daughter: Ginger (Brian) Harrelson; sister: Jo Keenum; grandchildren: Colten Livingston, Grace Livingston, Kiara Harrelson, Shelby Green and Konner Green; one great grandchild: Colten Isaiah “Chipper” Livingston.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. from Dansby Heritage Chapel with visitation from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Rev. Wayne Smith will officiate and burial will follow in Nances Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian Harrelson, Patrick Livingston, Colten Livingston, Brandon Muse, Jeff Campbell and Shelby Green.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or any charity helping children.
