Shirley Smith

Shirley Ann Smith, 68, of Piedmont, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden. She was a faithful member of Bethel Family Worship Church where she was in charge of the card ministry and active in the Women's Ministry department.   She was preceded in death by brothers: Robert Wayne Smith, James Smith, Hugh Don Smith; and sister: Patricia Dempsey.

She is survived by her husband, Grady William "Buddy" Smith, Jr.; sons: Billy Shell, Jr. and Charles Jerald Dewayne Shell; daughters: Gloria Faye Womack and Tonie J. Smith; brothers: Ted Randall (Carolyn) Smith, Forrest Edward (Marie) Smith, Gary (Gail) Smith, and Jimmy Bryan Smith; four grandchildren: Misty Smith, Gary Smith, Jr., Shaun Michael Shell, and Linda Michelle White; and two great grandchildren: Shelby Tate Smith and Preston Dallas Smith.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 23, at 2:00 p.m. from the Bethel Family Worship Church with Sherry Donaldson officiating.   Burial was in Jacksonville City Cemetery.
