Shirley Blackwelder

Shirley Livingston Blackwelder, 73, of Piedmont, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Noland Hospital with her faithful, beloved husband at her side.  Born in Spring Garden, AL to M.L. and Catherine Hilburn Livingston, she was a certified legal assistant.  Mrs. Shirley was a member of Nances Creek Worship Center, dearly loved the Lord, was a staunch Christian, taught Sunday School and was an avid Auburn Fan.                             She was preceded in death by her parents, and sibling, Eddy Livingston.                                                                                                                     She is survived by her husband, Dr. Eddie Blackwelder; her devoted lapdog, Beaux; sister: Jo Keenum; brother: Scooter Livingston; and numerous nieces and nephews.                                                                                                                                                                                                 Services will be held Tuesday, January 25 at 11:00 am from Dansby Heritage Chapel with visitation from 10-11 AM.  Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Bishop Earl Warren and Rev. John Cole will officiate. Flowers are accepted however, the family prefers memorials to Liberty Chaplain Ministries C/O Noble Bank.  Pallbearers will be Danny Beavers, Bryant Bruce, James Bennett, Nathan Johnson, Cale Morrison, Drew Lewis, Brent Morrison, Randal Bangs, and Kris Hood. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of Nances Creek Worship Center.                                                                               Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Blackwelder Family.
