Sharon McElwee Headrick

SHARON McELWEE HEADRICK, 58, of Piedmont, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at her residence.  She was born in Piedmont to Eulis Thomas and Helen Jane Watts McElwee, who preceded her in death.

Sharon was one who always had a smile on her face, never met a stranger, and would leave a word of encouragement no matter what she was handling at the time.  She was a gardener with a very green thumb and could make anything grow.  She loved her family, flowers, plants, and her fur babies. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Kosmo Headrick, and grandson, Bentley Headrick.  She was a member of Piedmont First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her two sons and their wives: Christopher Michael (Melanie) Headrick and David Thomas (Leila Bragg) Headrick; brother: Jeff Sims; special brother and sister-in-law: Bones and Starla Headrick; chosen sister: Wanda Turner; grandchildren: Charleston, Leia, Brandon, and Caleb; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside Services will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. from Rabbittown Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Frank Parris officiating.  Visitation will be Sunday from 1:30 -2:30 at Dansby Heritage Chapel.  Pallbearers will be David Headrick, Chris Shaw, Rob Coppock, Josh Coppock, Carter Nowland and Hagen Nowland.
