Peter Byrne

Peter Richard Byrne, 74, of Piedmont, passed away Monday, July 11, 2016 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center in Gadsden.  Born in Brooklyn NY, he was the youngest of seven children born to Edward Gerard and Marie Collette Hancock Byrne, all who have preceded him in death. He was a New Jersey resident before moving to Piedmont.  He was retired from the Postal Inspection Service as a Security Police Officer and was a veteran of the US Army.
He is survived by his wife: Margaret Hagany Byrne; son: Peter Byrne, Jr.; daughter: Patricia Byrne; 2 grandchildren: Ian Connor Byrne and Peter Ryan Byrne; and great grandchild: Alison Malissa Byrne.
A Month Mind Mass will be held at St. Joachim Catholic Church on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at noon.
