Peggy Watts

WATTS, PEGGY FAYE, 80 of Piedmont, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at UAB in Birmingham, following a brief illness.   Born in Cherokee County to Elbert and Mandy Kines Pierce, she was the last living child of 14.  She was a Prep Nurse at RMC.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ellis Jackson Watts.

Survivors include her son: Gregory (Jackie) Watts and daughter:  Wanda (Rev. Stanley) Turner; sister in law: Helen Godby; grandchildren: Tonya Abernathy, Jeromy Watts, Toby Romine, and Kyle Turner; great grandchildren: Chloe Reese Watts, Rhian Watts, Sarah Sparks, Noah Sparks, Aaron Turner, Hunter Turner, and Kylie Turner; and great great grandchild: Beau Turner.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 31 at 2:00 PM from Dansby Heritage Chapel with visitation from 12- 2 PM.  Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Rev, Stanley Turner and Rev. Greg Thurman will officiate.  Pallbearers will be Toby Romine, David Adams, Brad Motes, Rodney Lambert, Bubba Johnston, and Jeff Rader
