Norris Keith Smart, 57, of Piedmont, 'winged his way home' on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at his residence. Born in Gadsden to Norris Lee and Nilmarg Russell Smart, he held a Bachelor's degree from Georgia Tech and was an avid photographer. He was a building contractor and a member of Piedmont Congregational Methodist Church.
A soft spoken man with a quick wit made him a joy to be around.
He was preceded in death by his father, Norris Lee Smart.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Crook Smart; mother: Nilmarg Russell Smart; daughters: Samantha (Josh) Junkins, Sadie Smart, Kristen Hulsey, Marissa (Joel) Stanley, and Jessica (Cliff) Highfield; sisters: Evelyn (Tracy) Young; Lisa (Jeff) Grubbs; grandchildren: Ethan Pizano, Trinity Hulsey, Wyatt Stanley, Montana Highfield, and Memphis Highfield; and beloved aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Piedmont Congregational
Methodist Church.
