Michael Frank Steed

Michael Frank Steed, a beloved father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on June 4, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on April 5, 1955, in Piedmont, Alabama, Michael was known for his simple yet profound approach to life. He forged a legacy as a devoted family man who cherished the time spent with his loved ones.

Michael is remembered fondly as a kind individual who took great pride in his role as a father and grandfather. He was blessed with two sons: Wesley Shane Steed (Blake) and Cody James Steed (Brittany), from whom he derived immense joy. His grandchildren, Bryson Steed and Braylon Steed, were the light of his life, and he embraced every moment spent with them.

A supportive brother, Michael is survived by his siblings: Troy Steed, Sam Steed (Jean), Randy Steed (Deb), Mellba Jo Harrell, Carol Fortenberry, and Marie Steed. Together, they shared countless memories that will now remain as cherished reflections of their bond.

Michael was preceded in death by his loving wife, Debra Steed, who he missed dearly, and his son, Michael Todd Steed. He is also preceded by his parents, Hazel Louise Steed and Hubert Steed, as well as his father-in-law, Doyal Acker, and mother-in-law, Loise Acker.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Michael's life. Visitation will be held on June 5, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Dansby Heritage Chapel, located at 707 Southern Ave, Piedmont, AL 36272. A funeral service will be held the following day, June 6, 2025, starting at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Pallbearers will be: Wesley Steed, Cody Steed, Blake Richards, Stacy Steed, Cisco Fagan, Chisom Fagan, Joey Harrell and Marty Harrell.

Michael Frank Steed’s legacy of kindness, love, and family will endure in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be profoundly missed but remembered with deep affection and respect.
