Marjorie Maddox

November 18, 1927 — August 20, 2017

Marjorie Wilkie Maddox, 89, of Piedmont, passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her children on Sunday, August 20, 2017. It was sixteen years to the day that her beloved husband, Roy Lee Maddox, passed away.  She was also preceded in death by her parents: Curtis and Roxie Floyd Wilkie; and daughter: Claudette Holmes.  Mrs. Maddox was a seamstress for Piedmont Executive and member of Northside Baptist Church.  She is survived by three sons:  Kenneth (Patricia) Maddox, Danny (Frankie) Maddox, and Rick Maddox; two daughters:  Aleen (David) Cooper and Barbara (Steve) Kines; grandchildren: Brian Maddox, Jonathan Maddox, Kerry Holt, Thomas Bragg, Shane Maddox, Christy Maddox, Dewane Maddox, Candace Epperson, Timothy Holmes, Joshua Holmes, and Penny Fowler;  great grandchildren:  Heather Bobbitt, Lacey Watts, Daniel Holt, Caroline Holt, Zoe-Praise Bragg, Samuel Bragg, Presley Bragg, Jacob Bragg, Dillon Maddox, Amber Maddox, Andrew Epperson, Lauren Abigail Epperson, Gracie Epperson, Gage Mayhall, Honesty Mayhall, Braden Mayhall, Ethan Fowler, Daniel Fowler, Tiffany Holmes, Mandy Holmes, Haven Holmes, Avery Holmes, Emory Maddox, Jayden Maddox, and Ashley Maddox; and great , great grandchildren: Aiden Bobbitt, Brantd Bobbitt, Daxter Grogan, Lucas Maddox and Sara Jane Maddox.                                                                                                                                                           Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 3:00 PM from Dansby Heritage Chapel with burial to follow in Hebron Methodist Church Cemetery in Centre. Visitation will be from 1- 3 PM on Saturday.                                                                                                                         Pallbearers will be Shane Maddox, Dewane Maddox, Kerry Holt, Jason Epperson, Josh Holmes and Tim Holmes.  Alternates will be Gage Mayhall, Brian Maddox, Rick Maddox and Danny Maddox .                                                                                                                                                           The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Hebron Methodist Church Cemetery, in  care of Danny Walker, 4824 Co. Rd. 113, Centre, AL 35960.                                                                                                                                                                                                              Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Maddox Family.
