Mammie Louise Keahey

Louise Baldwin Keahey, 78, of Piedmont, peacefully transitioned to her new home on Monday, July 28, 2025 with her sons by her side. Born in Macon, GA to Fredrick Otis and Leafy Leona Brock Baldwin, she was the oldest of seven children. She married the love of her life, William Ernest Keahey, who preceded her in death, along with her parents. She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Kenneth Baldwin and Jerry Baldwin.

She is survived by two sons: Billy Joe Keahey and Robert Clyde Keahey; sister: Glenda Sue Baldwin; three brothers: Joe Baldwin, Russell Baldwin, and Harvey Baldwin; five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Keahey had to quit school in the 4th grade to care for her younger siblings. She began at this early stage in her life to be a hardworking caregiver. She worked in housekeeping at Piedmont Hospital until it closed and then she became a full-time housewife and mother. When she was healthy and able to get out, she attended Bethel Family Worship.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 11 a.m. from Dansby Heritage Chapel with visitation from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Hanks Cemetery.
