Lynette Dansby, born on September 11, 1954, in Meridian, Mississippi, passed away on January 28, 2026, in Piedmont, Alabama surrounded by friends and family. She lived a life dedicated to caring for others, evident in her work and the way she connected with all who crossed her path.

Having been a licensed funeral director and embalmer, Lynette opened her own funeral home in 2012, pouring her heart into a profession that allowed her to help families navigate their grief. Her compassion shone brightly, always putting others first. She had a remarkable talent for bringing joy to those around her, often laughing and crying with "her" families during their most difficult times.

Aside from her career, Lynette was a woman of many interests. She has been involved for many years in civic and professional women's groups, loved to play the piano for relaxation, and reading was another passion. She also had a special bond with her beloved dachshund, Sambo, whom she spoiled endlessly.
