Linda Gail Ingram, a beloved and cherished friend, passed away on November 19, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on January 2, 1944, in Jacksonville, Alabama, Linda beautifully embodied the spirit of love, joy, and generosity that touched so many lives throughout her years.
As a devoted wife to her husband Arthur "Art" Ingram, Linda celebrated over 60 years of a remarkable marriage filled with love and companionship. She was a proud mother to Michael Ingram (Brea) and Michelle Franklin (Lewis "Scooter"), and her heart brimmed with joy as she embraced her role as a grandmother to Grayson Ingram (Logan), Bryson Ingram, Reese Franklin, Ty Franklin, and Ivy Franklin. also her loving brothers, Hollis Martin (Janice) and Joey Martin (Leighann). Linda's life was a testament to her loving nature; she cherished each moment spent with her grandchildren, ensuring they felt safe and secure, often waiting until they were home before resting herself. Can not forget her best of friends and her special friend, Sandy Ford.
Linda's personality shone brightly as she was known not only for being the best grandma but also for her cheerful demeanor that lit up every room she entered. An avid traveler, she found immense pleasure in her numerous trips to Historic Gatlinburg Inn, where she created lasting memories with her husband, Art, to where it was like a second home and they considered them family. Her passion for cooking was evident in her phenomenal culinary skills, bringing warmth and connection around the dining table.
A faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Piedmont, Linda participated actively in the ladies' Monday morning Bible study and the Friendship Sunday School class. Her faith was a guiding light in her life, fostering a strong sense of community and service.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Joe Harlan Martin and Lillian Martin, as well as two brothers, James and Johnny Martin, and her sister, Janice Gambrel. Though she has departed from this world, her spirit will remain alive in the hearts of those she knew and loved.
The visitation for Linda Gail Ingram will be held on November 21, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Dansby Heritage Chapel in Piedmont, Alabama, followed by a funeral service scheduled for the same day at 2:00 PM. Linda's light will continue to shine through the memories of all those fortunate enough to have crossed her path.
