Linda "Dianne" Fair, a beloved figure whose warmth and generosity touched many lives, departed this world on November 7, 2025, at her home in Piedmont, Alabama. Born on October 19, 1945, in Talladega, Alabama, Dianne's journey through life was marked by profound love for her family and a passion for creating cherished memories.
Throughout her life, Dianne was known for her caring nature and commitment to family. She thrived in the joyous moments spent during holidays, where her culinary talents shined brightly. Many will fondly remember the aroma of her best chicken and dressing, coconut pineapple cake, and the rich indulgence of her chocolate cake, which brought smiles to tables and hearts alike. Dianne's cooking was not just about feeding her loved ones; it was an expression of her love, a way of bringing people together.
Dianne was also a devoted traveler, always seeking new adventures with her husband, Jimmy Fair, exploring the beauty of the world hand in hand. This love for travel mirrored her approach to life—she embraced every opportunity with an open heart, always eager to make memories that would last a lifetime.
She will be deeply missed by her loving family, which includes her husband, Jimmy Fair, her daughters, Alicia (Eric) Davis and Melanie (David) Harmon, her sons, Eric and Brent (Cindy) Fair, her sister, Joy (Stan) Burlison, and 16 wonderful grandchildren and 6 beautiful great grand kids. Each member of her family will carry forward the rich legacy of love, kindness, and laughter that she instilled in them.
She is preceded by her parents, Paul William and Mary Francis Hill, her siblings of which she 1 of 5, and her beloved husband, Jack Pettus, who has passed, they were married for 29 years. Including Gail Fair, who was Mr. Jimmy's wife for 32 years, before she passed.
Mr. Jimmy and Dianne were brought together and were loved by all, she will be greatly missed by her loved ones she has left behind, who will cherish every memory they each have with her.
Dianne's life touched many, and her presence will be felt forevermore. A graveside service will be held on November 9, 2025, at 1:30 P.M. at Greenlawn Cemetery in Jacksonville, Alabama, where friends and family will gather to honor her memory and celebrate the beautiful life she lived. As we reflect on Dianne's journey, we are reminded of her loving spirit, which will forever remain in our hearts. Will be officiated by Sis. LaVance Parris
