LINDA GAIL COUCH, 73, of Jacksonville passed away on Monday, January 6, 2020 at her residence, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born in Snead, AL to Hubert James and Beulah Faye Brannon Brooks. She had been a Calhoun County resident for 40 + years and was a member of Charlie Penny Holiness Church. She was a homemaker who kept her house spotless and cared for her family with much love and tenderness. She enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Beulah Faye Brooks, and her husband, Jerry Talmadge Couch. Survivors include her father, Hubert (Mildred) Brooks; daughters: Angela Gail Ivey and Kristy (Len) Shigley; brother: Marlin (Patsy) Brooks; grandchildren: Tommy (Amber) Munn, Katlynn (Alex) Thornton, Cassie (Justin) Cummings, Courtney Ivey, Christian Ivey, and Lillian Cook; and great grandchildren: Tori Munn, Lucas Cook, Bryson Cummings, and Annabella Cummings. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 8 from 6-8 PM at Charlie Penny Holiness Church, 596 Charlie Penny Road, Piedmont. The service will be Thursday, January 9 at the Church at 2:00 PM with Rev. Justin Pruitt, Rev. Roger Boyd, and Rev. Daniel McGatha officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Jacksonville. Pallbearers will be Tommy Munn, Christian Ivey, Alex Thornton, Donnie Parris, Danny Johnson, and John Ard. Honorary Pallbearers will be Len Shigley, Chris Ivey, and Justin Cummings. Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Couch Family.
