Judy Steed

March 3, 1953 — May 7, 2021

JUDY MARIE GOSS STEED, 68, of the Nances Creek Community, passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.  The Calhoun County native was the daughter of William Forrest and Myrtis Morrell Ponder Goss, who preceded her in death.  She was a seamstress by trade and had secretarial training on the Junior College Level.  She was a member of Nances Creek Congregational Holiness Church.                Although she had many struggles in life, she always had a beaming smile for everyone she met.  One of her most trying times was the loss of her daughter, Amber Marie Steed. She braved that challenge as well with a smile and a broken heart.                                                                              She is survived by her devoted husband: Troy Steed; her loving son: Stacy (Rose) Steed; two grandchildren: Levi Wood and Reagan Wood; two brothers: Ray (Sandra) Goss and Michael (Karen) Goss; her Steed family, and many nieces and nephews.                                                           Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 10, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. from Dansby Heritage Chapel with Rev. John Cole and Rev. Floyd Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Nances Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers will be nieces and nephews.                                                                               Those attending the service are asked to maintain a social distance and to wear a mask.                                                                                                  Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Steed Family.
