John Edward Walker

JOHN EDWARD WALKER, 70, of Piedmont, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 27, 2022 surrounded by family and friends.

The Piedmont native was born to James Roy and Bettie Ruth Buttram Walker, who have both preceded him in death.                                                                                                                     

Mr. Walker was in the construction business and was a heavy-duty machine operator.  He loved the outdoors, loved to hunt and fish and just enjoy nature.                                                                                     

He cherished the loves of his life: his wife, Rhonda McGinnis; son, Michael (Kaley) Walker; and two granddaughters, Courtney and Marley Walker.  His precious fur baby, Brutus, was a loving and faithful part of his life even though he was spoiled. He is also survived by three brothers: Larry (Angie) Walker, Keith (Sherri) Walker, and Jim (Denise) Walker; sister: Marie (Thomas) Kerr; and many nieces and nephews.                                                                                  

As per his specific request, he will be cremated and no services will be held.
