Glenda SUE McCarley

Services for Mrs. Glenda SUE McCarley, 82, of Piedmont will be Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 2:00 PM from Dansby Heritage Chapel with visitation from 1-2 PM.  Burial will be in Hebron Cemetery.   Mrs. McCarley passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021 at NE AL Regional Medical  Center in Anniston.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Born in Centre, AL to Roy Paul and Myrtle Bell Pledger Acker, she was an active member of Nances   Creek Baptist Church.  She was a secretary/bookkeeper for several businesses over the years:  John Deere, State of Georgia; and was a private business owner of a video store and trailer park. She had shared a blessed life with her husband of 65 years, Bill McCarley, raising two daughters: Pamela Hill and Jana McCarley.    She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Pamela; brother: John Roy Acker; sisters: Mary Ellen Acker and Betty Acker Jordan; granddaughter: Tara Hill; and son in law: Jack Monahan.                                                                                                                                                                              Survivors include her husband, Bill, daughter, Jana; 6 grandchildren: Dustin, Craig and Jaylon (Lacey) Hill, Destini and Jack Monahan, and Caeden Ooten; 3 great grandchildren: Brentley, Aiden, and Jacksyn.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and Philip and Darron Jordan.  Honorary Pallbearer will be Johnny Acker.                                                                          Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the McCarley Family.
