GERALD DON MINTON, 66, of Piedmont, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at his residence.  He was an outstanding fiddle player and proudly served his country during the Vietnam Era in the US Air Force.  He was a 50 year member of Lozahatchee Masonic Lodge.  He loved fishing, hunting and kayaking. He was a very talented woodworker and enjoyed growing tomatoes in the garden.  He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Minton.                                                                                                    He is survived by his son:  Jason Minton; daughter: Kim (Steve) Ramey; mother: Louise Morrow Minton; brother: David (LeAnne) Minton; granddaughter:  Regan Nabors; and niece: Laura Minton.                                   Funeral Service will be Saturday, July 9 at 3:00 PM from Carmel Community Church with burial in Highland Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be from 2-3 PM at the church. Rev. Neal Lanigan and Rev. Ken Hinkley will officiate.   Pallbearers will be Steve Ramey, Eddie Minton, Donnie Minton, Buddy Minton, James Miller, and Tommy Gowens.   Bobby Kerns will serve as Honorary Pallbearer.                                                                                           Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Minton Family.
