Graveside Services for Ms Gaynell Herring, 84, formerly of Gadsden, will be Friday, October 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from Young’s Chapel Cemetery in Hokes Bluff. Pallbearers will be James Hazel, David Grantham,Michael Herring, Jason Herring, and Tony Herring,
Ms. Herring passed away on Friday, October 4, 2025 at Piedmont Health Care. Born in Hokes Bluff, she was the last of the children born to Jesse and Lela Mae Miller Herring. Ms. Herring never married but loved her nieces and nephews as her own. A very caring aunt and friend to many, she was of the Holiness Faith.
Survivors include nieces: Connie Houck and Tara Hazel; nephews: Michael Herring and Hanson J. Firestone; and many more nieces and nephews.
Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Herring family.
