Frances "Bill" Benefield Camp

FRANCES WILLENE “Bill” BENEFIELD CAMP, 86, of Piedmont, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 04, 2014 at Piedmont Health Care Center.  Born to Ollie and Bertie Sewell  Bullock in Calhoun Co., AL on September  21, 1928, she was retired from Pleasant Valley School System as a lunchroom worker.  She was a member of Piedmont First Baptist Church and a real estate broker.                                                                                                                            Funeral Services will be held Sunday, January 5, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from Shady Grove  Methodist Church on Old Piedmont-Gadsden Highway in the Knighten’s Crossroad Community with Rev. Ryan Smith officiating.  Visitation will be at the church from 1-2 PM.  Burial will follow in Shady Grove Methodist Church Cemetery.                                                                                                  She was preceded in death by her parents; son: Rickey Benefield; 2 husbands: Reuben Benefield and Lamar Camp; brother: Gwen Bullock; and grandson: Cody Benefield.                              Survivors include her sons:  David Benefield and Cecil Benefield (Linda); daughters: Diane Mincey (John), Malinda Barker (Steve) and Susan Benefield Castleberry;   sisters: Loretta Sauls, Betty Ruth McDougal, and Beatrice Smith; special sister in law: Shirley Bullock;  9 grandchildren: Jeff Barker, April Barker Long, Blake Barker, Eric Prince, Alisha Prince Harmon, Joshua Benefield, Amber Castleberry, Jesse Benefield, and Kaylee Benefield;  and 5 great grandchildren:  Harrison Benefield, Logan Harmon, Ella Harmon, Adriana Prince, and Adelaide Long; and special friend: Evelyn Knighten.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Barker, Eric Prince, Jeff Shields, Chris Garard, John Mincey, and Josh Benefield.                                                                                                                                 "Bill" loved music, life, travel and never met a stranger.  She was much loved by her family and community and will be missed by everyone who knew her.                                                     Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Camp Family.
