FRANCES JEANETTE QUEEN, 89 of Piedmont, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at NE AL Regional Medical Center in Anniston, AL. Born in Atlanta, GA, she was one of eight children born to Bennie Hugh and Ollie Jane Jackson Polk.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son: Jerry W. Queen; two sisters: Dorothy Butler and Annette Dawkin; and one brother: Melvin G. Polk.
Survivors include her son: Tommy Queen; four daughters: Janis E. Queen, Linda G. Adkison, Cheryl L. Kelley and Sandra Bedwell; two brothers: Richard Polk and Jimmy W. Polk; two sisters: Mary Jane Thacker and Betty Joyce Sheriff; 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren.
She was a member of Goshen Valley Baptist Church and loved her children and grandchildren. She had a great sense of humor and was filled with love and kindness for everyone she knew.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. (central time) with visiting hours from 10 a.m. until funeral time. Burial will follow in Piedmont Memory Garden. Rev. Ashley Penton will officiate. Pallbearers will be Allen Adkison, Wesley Queen, Shannon Kelley, Andrew Bates, Connor Bates, and Dontay Jordan.
