Douglas Scott

DOUGLAS WILLIAM SCOTT, 82, of Piedmont, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at NE AL Regional Medical Center in Anniston.  Born in Cherokee Co., AL to Elmer Ernest and Pearlie May Maddox Scott, he was employed with SCT for 22 years as an overhauler.  He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict as Specialist 3rd Class in the combat unit.
He is survived by his wife:  Mary Price Scott; sons: Douglas E. “Eddie” Scott (Amy), Billy Shannon Gaddy (Carla); daughters:  Sharon Lynn Gaddy, Tammy Higginbotham (Phillip); sister:  Shirley Nell Haney (Douglas); grandchildren: Matthew, Jennifer, Emily, Rachel & Jake, Dillon & Brandon, Jordan & Joshua Gaddy and Lauren Norton; and numerous great grandchildren.
As per his request, Mr. Scott will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
