Doris Fortenberry

DORIS JUANITA FORTENBERRY, 83, of Piedmont, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2014 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.  She was of the Holiness Faith and retired from working in the textile mills.  She was born in Calhoun County to Floyd Andrew and Adell Laney  Parris.              She was preceded in death by her parents; son: Colvin Fortenberry; sister: Pluma Fortenberry; and two grandsons: Quinton Fortenberry and Justin Fondren.                                                     Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Leroy Fortenberry; 4 sons: Norris (Barbara) Fortenberry, Randall (Cheryl) Fortenberry, Frankie (Leann) Fortenberry, and Keith (Misty) Fortenberry; two daughters: Mary (Jerry) Phillips and Karen Fondren, all of Piedmont; brother: Daniel Parris; sister: Evelyn Clifton; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and 2 great, great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be Monday, June 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from Dansby Heritage Chapel with Rev. William Cain and Rev. Eddie Lindsey officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, June 15 from 6-8 p.m. and burial will be in Piedmont Memory Garden.                                                          Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.                                                                                     Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Fortenberry Family.
