Dennis Cheatwood

CHEATWOOD, Dennis Franklin, age 66 of Nances Creek passed away on Monday, August 14, 2017 at his residence. He was retired from Calsonic after over 20 years of service in the maintenance department. Dennis was also a proud member of the “Over the Hill Gang” of former White Plains High School athletes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Travis Felton Cheatwood and Annie Virginia Shell Cheatwood.

Mr. Cheatwood is survived by his wife, Ruth Chilton Cheatwood; daughters, Angel Cheatwood Black (Wesley) and Ashley Cheatwood Horner (Brock); grandchildren, Easton Burton, Jasper Black, Jessica Black and Maisie Horner; brother, Butch Cheatwood (Belinda); nephews, Scott Cheatwood and Clint Cheatwood; step-son, Jason Chilton (Donna); step-daughter, Lindey Chilton; and step-grandchildren, Brody Chilton, Katy Chilton, Callie Chilton and Clark Chilton.

Memorial Graveside service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at Nances Creek Cemetery. Rev. Garry Brown will officiate.

The family requests no flowers; however, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
