David Wesley Fair, was born on December 23, 1949, in Anniston, Alabama. He passed away peacefully in Jacksonville, Alabama, on November 26, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and gentleness that touched the lives of many.
David proudly served his country in the Army, performing civil service in Korea, where he demonstrated a powerful sense of duty and commitment. After his military service, he returned to civilian life, becoming known for his caring nature and unwavering support of his family and friends.
David is survived by his cherished grandsons, Jeremiah Parris (Kaysie) and Jeffrey Parris, who treasured their time with him. His memory will also be carried on by his brother, Ronald Fair, and his sisters, Carol Ledbetter (Reuben) and Eleanor Mitchell, including numerous nieces and nephews. Each of them will remember David not just as a father, brother, uncle, and grandfather, but as a source of love and guidance throughout their lives.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Orris Fair Sr. and Venia Fair, four beloved family members: his brother, Gus Fair Jr. and his sisters Donna Faye Perry and Wynona Rozell Maye and his daughter Rhonda Fair Norton. Their spirits will join his, as memories of shared moments continue to thrive in the hearts of those who remain.
A graveside service to honor David Wesley Fair will be held on December 6, 2025, at Greenlawn Cemetery in Jacksonville, Alabama. The service is set to begin at 11:00 AM, with guests invited to gather to celebrate his life and legacy. Officiating the service will be Rev. Frank Reid.
