Bobby Surrett

BOBBY GENE SURRETT, age 77 of Piedmont, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at RMC of Jacksonville. Bobby was born on Wednesday, March 6, 1940, in Cherokee County to Clarence Monroe and Annie Louise Knight Surrett. He was preceded in death by his parents. Bobby is survived by his wife of 55 years, Minnie Lee Tims Surrett; daughters, Mel Mashburn (Lyn), Cindy Stone (Randy), and Kris Brooks (Robert); grandchildren, Josh Westbrook, Justin Westbrook, Jessica Barnes, Zach Mashburn, Ashlyn Mashburn, Summer Stone and Levi Stone; great-grandchildren, Layton Westbrook and Jordan Smith; sisters, Lillian Motes and Betty Blue; and brother, Tommy Surrett. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 20, 2017, at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery in Vigo with Mr. Cody Mashburn Burns officiating. There will be no visitation. Pallbearers will be Lyn Mashburn, Jimmy Williams, Bart Gowens, Justin Westbrook, Randy Stone and Robert Brooks.
