BETTY ANN WARD NICHOLS, 85, of Piedmont, entered the glories of Heaven on Wednesday, August 24, 2022.  Mrs. Nichols was a resident of Piedmont HealthCare Center since 2017.

Mrs. Nichols was preceded in death by her parents: Douglas Aster and Freida Brooks Ward; and daughter: Joyce Vaughn.

She is survived by her daughter: Judy (Rick) Freeman; grandchildren: Misty (Craig) Burt, Derek (Torie) Freeman, Corey (Victoria) Vaughn and Eli (Christa) Vaughn; great grandchildren: Chloe Freeman, Caleb (Tamile) Burt, Tristan (Hannah) Burt, and Harlow Dorame; great, great grandchild: Aurora Burt; brother:   Larry (Mertis) Ward; sisters:  Carolyn McLeod and Patsy Chandler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Nichols will be laid to rest beside her loving husband in the Davis Chapel Church Cemetery and a Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, August 26, 2022 at 1:00 PM from Dansby Heritage Chapel.

The Family requests memorials be made to Venecia’s Foundation, in lieu of flowers.
