Betty Pruitt

BETTY LOU GARMON PRUITT, 80 of Piedmont, passed away  Saturday, May 14, 2016 on her morning walk. Born in Jacksonville to Lee and Mary Anna Braggs Garmon, she was a seamstress at Sewell Manufacturing in Heflin and of the Baptist Faith.  She was preceded in death by her parents and two grandchildren:  Mark and Felicia Pruitt.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Billy Gene Pruitt; son: Steve (Mildred) Pruitt; daughter: Beth (John) Frost; sister: Judy Denton; grandchildren: April Maverly, Crystal Magaw, and Cindy Beauman; and five great grandchildren:  Shawn and Shannon Maverly, Victoria Magaw, Troy Pruitt and Hannah Stewart.                                                                                               Visitation for Mrs. Pruitt will be Monday, May 16  from 6-8 PM at Dansby Heritage Chapel.  Funeral Service will be Tuesday, May 17 at 11 AM at Dansby Heritage Chapel with burial in Nances Creek Cemetery.  Rev. Kermit Pruitt and Rev. William Cain will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Michael Maverly, Jeff Magaw, Wes Beauman, George Davis, Tim Pruitt, and Randy Pruitt.
Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Pruitt Family.
