NELLIE JO IVEY, 89, of Piedmont, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 15, 2022.  She was one of seven children born in Calhoun County, AL to Ollie and Tecota Moore Rogers, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by siblings:  Monteen, Ollie, Jeanette and Dorothy.

Ms Jo was of the Protestant Faith and worked in the finance Office of Fort McClellan until retirement.  She was preceded in death by three husbands, Giff Young, David Holmes, and Travis Ivey.  She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren, enjoyed family time and had a passion for reading.

She is survived by her daughters:  Malinda Young (Jerry) Smith and Dawn Holmes Weaver; sisters: Mary “Mert” Mobley and Joan Seymour; granddaughters: Emily Smith and Maggie Smith; and great grandsons: Brentley and Eli Hammett.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at 1:00 PM from Dansby Heritage Chapel with visitation from 11 AM – 1 PM with Rev. Hayward Clark officiating.  Burial will follow in Piedmont Memory Garden. Pallbearers will be Maggie Smith, Chris Hammett, Roger Smith, Jerry Smith, David Ivey and Ron Young
