Crawford Penton

Crawford Wayne Penton, 78, of Jacksonville, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at his residence.  Born in the Duke Community, outside Trussville, AL, to Crawford and Vivian Poe Penton, he was an Independent Insurance Agent.  He was an avid Alabama fan, a dedicated fisherman and a lover of Clanton Peaches. He was so looking forward to the first game of the season.                                                                                               He was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Penton.                                                                                                                                                       He is survived by his wife: Jane H. Penton; sons: Ashley (Tammi) Penton, and Fred (Alisa) Randall; daughters: Ellen Randall (Perry) Bethea and Jennifer Randall (Raymond) Bell; brothers: James S. Penton and Dale Poe; sister: Tina Poe; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.                     Graveside services will be held Thursday,  August 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from Carmel Cemetery in the Spring Garden community off County Road 33.  His son, Rev. Ashley Penton, will officiate and pallbearers will be Nicholas Bethea, Bradley Randall, Will Penton, Hayden Penton, and Fred Randall.                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Dansby Heritage Chapel is honored to serve the Penton Family.
